AWAKE Houston isn’t just another Christian concert in Houston
A night to worship, pray, hear God’s Word, and ask Him to begin His work in us.
Revival is not something we can put on a calendar.
We cannot manufacture it with the right music, the right speaker or a packed room. Revival is God’s work. But we can come before Him with honest hearts. We can humble ourselves, open His Word, confess our need and ask Him to begin with us.
That is the heart behind AWAKE Houston.
On Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, Christians from across Greater Houston will gather at Smart Financial Centre at Sugar Land for an evening of worship, prayer and the clear proclamation of the Gospel. The gathering begins at 7 p.m. CT.
One Name. One Hope.
Houston is a remarkable city. People from across the country and around the world now call it home. We come from different neighborhoods, cultures, churches and backgrounds—but beneath all those differences, we share the same deepest need. We need Jesus.
Our families need Him. Our churches need renewed faithfulness to Him. Our neighbors need the hope found in Him. And those who do not yet know Christ need to hear the good news that salvation is found in Him alone.
AWAKE Houston is not about gathering around a personality, a church or a program. It is about gathering around the name of Jesus Christ—the foundation of His Church and the only lasting hope for our city and nation. We are coming to seek His face, listen to His Word and ask Him to make us faithful witnesses when we return home.
What the Night Will Hold
Chris Tomlin will lead us in worship, lifting high the name of Jesus. Dr. Michael Youssef will preach from God’s Word and challenge us to be the hands and feet of Christ in our communities. Dr. O.S. Hawkins will host the evening, and evangelist Dr. Ahmed Joktan will join as a special guest sharing his incredible testimony.
We will pray for Houston, for the Church and for those who are far from God. There will be a clear invitation to respond to the Gospel, and prayer counselors will be available for anyone who wants someone to pray with them.
We are not coming because we have everything together. We are coming because we need the Lord—and because we believe He still calls His people to pray.
Let It Begin Before We Arrive
We do not have to wait until Sept. 19 to begin seeking God. In the days ahead, set aside time to pray. Ask the Lord to prepare your heart and to make this more than a single night on your calendar.
• Begin with me. Ask God to search your heart, reveal where you have drifted and renew your love for Christ.
• Strengthen Your Church. Pray for pastors and congregations across Greater Houston to stand together in humility, prayer and Biblical Truth.
• Reach those who are far from You. Pray for prodigals to return, for unbelievers to hear the Gospel and for Christians to speak of Jesus with compassion and courage.
• Send us back out. Ask God to make us faithful in our homes, schools, workplaces and neighborhoods long after the evening is over.
Come Ready
Come ready to worship. Come ready to pray. Come ready to hear the Word of God. Come ready to lay down whatever is keeping you from wholehearted obedience to Christ.
And come with this simple prayer: Lord, begin with us. Revive Your Church. Awaken Houston. Send us out to make Jesus known.
