Washington, D.C. (Nov. 18, 2025) – What began as a gathering for prayer and proclamation became a vivid display of spiritual hunger in the nation’s capital. An altar overflowing with repentance, prayer groups forming spontaneously in the hallways, and worship rising without restraint marked an evening many called a turning point for their faith. This was AWAKE DC — a glimpse of how God moves when His people humble themselves, seek His face, and unite for revival.
A Night Marked by Awakening
Over a thousand attended in person, while many more joined LIVE through YouTube and Leading The Way’s KINGDOM SAT broadcast across the Middle East. As worship intensified, hundreds of attendees surged forward, seeking renewal and recommitment to Christ. The atmosphere, according to many, felt like a return to the “first love” that Revelation 2 describes — earnest, surrendered, and full of expectancy.
Dr. Michael Youssef’s message rang with urgency and hope: believers must awaken from spiritual complacency and fully surrender to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
“Those who have gone to spiritual sleep, this is your awakening moment,” Dr. Michael A. Youssef declared. “You will never be the same. You will be glad you surrendered your whole life to Jesus.”

Throughout the evening, attendees testified that God used AWAKE DC to reignite passion, restore purpose, and call prodigals home. Many stepped forward publicly to recommit their lives to Christ. Others prayed over friends and family members who came forward to surrender everything to Jesus.
